Reading Assessment Data vs Teacher Placement Forms
You can upload data into our secure portal, in two different ways. Our proprietary assessment matching algorithm accepts data from any ELA or Phonics Assessment your district uses, or via our Teacher Placement Forms. After securely receiving your student data, we use it to customize and print your personalized student literacy packs. Below are guides for some of the most commonly used Reading Assessments, along with directions for submitting data through our Teacher Placement Forms.
Looking for our Teacher Placement Forms? You can find them here along with a step-by-step guide on how to use them!
Please note: while these guides reflect the most up-to-date information currently available, assessment platforms occasionally change their formats or systems, and we do not automatically receive these updates. We kindly ask districts to either notify us of any changes or be flexible as we work to integrate the latest assessment structures into our system. Additionally, if your district has steps for accessing data files for any assessments that aren’t included in this help article, please share them with our Support Team at help@justrightreader.com.

Downloading Your Reading Assessment Data
Always ensure your file is in .xlsx or .csv format. We cannot accept PDFs, Word documents, or photos of data. Please make sure your download includes:
- Student ID
- District Name
- School Name
- Teacher Name
- Grade Level
- Student Name
- Assessment Date / Testing Window (Most Recent or Current)
- Literacy Assessment Scores
Please note: If your file contains multiple rows per student, please ensure you have a “homeroom” or “official teacher” column, indicating the teacher who should receive the literacy pack for each student.
Accessing Your Reading Assessment Data
Click on the assessment title dropdown to view access instructions. Be sure to check the “Last Updated On” date, as vendors frequently change their file access methods—and we may not always have the most current details.
If the listed method doesn’t work, we recommend contacting the vendor directly for the latest instructions. Once you’ve confirmed their new process, please share your findings with help@justrightreader.com, so we can update our resources and help other districts access the same information.
